Dr. Ed Barnard
I graduated from University of Toronto in 1973 with an Honours B.Sc. majoring in chemistry and physics, and in 1977 I graduated with Honours as first in my class from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. I’ve practiced for over 40 years, serving the Ancaster community through my entire career.
I experienced a major shift when I implemented Laser therapy into my practice with tremendous clinical success, I’ve since expanded to a team that offers a very comprehensive healing experience. Alongside my caring staff at Ancaster Progressive Healthcare, I will continue to deliver the best care available. Healthcare that is natural, non-invasive and without adverse effects.
I have had the honour of helping people from the ages of 2 days to 102 years old. I have been able to make a difference for thousands and thousands of patients. There is no greater sense of satisfaction then when a patients tells me, "you have changed my life."
Your health is our number one priority and we will do whatever it takes to help you.
“I had been wearing socks to bed since 2009. After the 4th treatment with K-Laser I had to remove my socks during the night as my feet were too hot. I have not worn socks to bed since. Initially, I was not able to feel the tuning fork at all from my knees to my toes. After the 10th treatment I could feel the tuning fork all the way down to my toes. I have noticed that the twitching in my calf muscles has stopped.”

“I had a very bad car accident in 2003 that left me with severe whiplash and extreme pain in my neck. I heard about laser therapy with Dr. Barnard's office in Ancaster. I met Dr. Barnard in 2014 and was extremely impressed with our consultation and began treatments later that week.
I am very happy to say I am no longer taking any pain pills; the laser treatment worked and was not a temporary fix like other treatments that I tried (massage, chiro, physio, injections, acupuncture). I would like to thank the staff at Ancaster Chiropractic & Laser as they are very professional and polite and made me feel very comfortable.”

“I developed nerve root pain as a complication of shingles. I was treated using laser therapy by Dr. Barnard for a recommended number of sessions. I am now pain free and have resumed my normal activities without the use of medications.”

“I have stenosis and herniated discs. I used a wheelchair most of the time, and didn’t walk much. The pain was incredible. With Laser, I don’t need my wheelchair, and my pain has greatly diminished. I used to take a lot of morphine and now I rarely need it. Laser has made my life 100% better.”

“Class 4 Laser treatments decreased the pain in my feet from a constant 6 or 8 out of 10 to an intermittent 1 or 3 out of 10. I can feel again with my feet and walking is no longer laboured. Many thanks!”
“Both of my hands have been affected by carpal tunnel syndrome even after previous surgery on them. Along with rheumatoid arthritis, I had trouble doing simple things such as writing, holding books, doing up zippers, tying my shoes and even using the remote TV converter. Prior to having laser therapy treatment with Dr. Barnard, I thought I was going to have to move to a care facility. The pain and swelling was so bad. Now the inflammation and pain in both hands has lessened and I can do most any of the above jobs.”

"I wish to share with everyone the remarkable results attained with laser therapy. I suffered over a 6 week period with severe shoulder pain and was not able to golf. Having had surgery previously for a rotator cuff injury, I knew I was in difficulty and decided to try laser therapy. After 5 weeks of treatment I was able to golf 2 to 3 times a week and have incurred no pain while playing. Laser is the most pleasant form of therapy and very worthwhile to decrease your pain and eradicate it. Do something good for yourself - I did."
