Chiropractic Care

Manipulations and Mobilizations

Manipulations or adjustments are fast movements through the joints (e.g., spine, ankle, hands, etc.) that help to restore proper range of motion to joints that are restricted or not moving well. Manipulations or adjustments also help to reduce inflammation to joints and reduce muscle tension. In comparison, mobilizations are slow movements that stretch the joints and help to increase the range of motion.

Manipulations or adjustments can be done through manual (e.g., by hand) or through our instrument-assisted technology (e.g., Pro-adjustor).

Soft-Tissue Therapy

Myofascial or active release therapy consists of primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, including muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments, and joints for the purposes of relieving pain, improving blood circulation, and improving overall function.

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation is an essential component in helping individuals achieve their highest level of function, independence, and quality of life possible. Rehabilitation exercise programs are designed to meet everyone’s specific needs; therefore, each program is different.

All our patients are provided with an individualized exercise program to help them improve their strength. After an injury, muscles can become dysfunctional and weak, which can often be interpreted as pain. It is important to address these areas of altered muscle function by strengthening weak muscles and stretching muscles that are tight. Rehabilitation can improve your range of motion, strength, endurance, and balance. We will provide you with the tools to aid in your recovery and prevent further injury

Laser Treatment

Laser therapy is non-invasive, drug-free, solution to managing your pain. The light that is transmitted through the laser, at a specific wavelength, helps with tissue regeneration.

Laser therapy uses specific wavelengths of light (red and near-infrared) to create therapeutic effects. The light that is transmitted via the laser helps stimulate certain processes within the body that help provide relief to symptoms including pain, swelling, and limited range of motion.

Our class 4 laser therapy helps to stimulate the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which drives many of the process within our cells. This therapeutic approach can reduce inflammation and edema, help with regeneration of nerve and muscle tissue, increase collagen production, and promote angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels). So, you will walk away feeling better, but this therapy also continues to work on your tissues at the cellular level even after you leave our office.

What can we treat?

Laser treatment can treat a variety of conditions including neuropathy related to diabetes, chemotherapy, and other degenerative conditions (e.g., spinal stenosis). Additionally, laser therapy can reduce inflammation in many other chronic conditions including bursitis, shoulder impingement, among others, and help with post-operative recovery.

Custom Orthotics

Custom orthotics are corrective medical devices that are prescribed to correct specific foot imbalances. They can bring your feed into proper alignment, thereby, reducing stress and strain on your body.

To determine of custom orthotics are right for your condition, and post and gait (walking) analysis is completed to determine any abnormalities and mechanical imbalances.

Why choose custom orthotics?

  • They are designed to the specific contours of your foot structure

  • They help align and alleviate pressure on the feet and lower limp

  • They help to absorb shock and increase your forward propulsion

  • They help to reduce pain, aches and fatigue in the foot, leg and even your lower back

Common conditions

Some common conditions that are treated with orthotics include plantar fasciitis, metatarsalgia, Achilles tendinitis(osis), pes planus (flat feet), pes cavus (high arches), bunions, arthritis, and back pain.
